About Phat Kat's DJ Service

Phat Kat's DJ Service was started by a father and son team of John Rogers, Sr. a retired truck driver and John Rogers, Jr. a retired law enforcement officer, when a serious accident ended his career as a police officer.

Several of their friends pressured them into singing karaoke at a local bar in Central Indiana and from that point forward they were both hooked on the concept of Karaoke/DJ.

John Sr. approached his son with the venture of being mobile djs, with some reluctance but the spirit of an entrepreneur, John Jr. agreed. With rented equipment, the love of music, the desire to entertain, and hard work in 1998 Phat Kat's DJ Service was born.

In 2003 John Sr. sold his half of the business to his son and today John Jr. has build Phat Kat's DJ Service (DJs in Indianapolis area & DJs in St. Louis area) to more than 10 DJs serving Indianapolis, IN (Central Indiana) and St. Louis, MO. And maintains and grows his business with the same level of honor, commitment, and esprit de corps that he had as a law enforcement officer.
